Strict source selection, tiering, and monitoring, combined with aggregation methods and continuous validation.
Chronicle network sources data from Tier 1 onchain liquidity venues such as Uniswap and Curve Finance, alongside offchain market data from leading centralized exchanges including Binance, Kraken, and Coinbase.
Data validation is carried out by a distributed and independent network of reputable validators (visible on the Chronicle Dashboard).
Chronicle network integrates known, reputable validators that sign data using cryptographic proofs, ensuring security, accountability and traceability of data. Chronicle’s validator set is visible on the Chronicle Dashboard.
Chronicle data feeds publish the median value across validators, not the full range of observed prices.
At any given moment, individual validators may report slightly different prices based on their data sources. Rather than exposing this variability directly, Chronicle network aggregates these inputs and selects the median as the final published value.
This approach:
- Reduces the impact of outliers or faulty data
- Produces a stable, manipulation-resistant price
- Reflects the most reliable consensus across a distributed set of validators
The range (highest and lowest observed values) can be visualized in the Chronicle Dashboard for transparency, but the value used onchain is always the median.
